The year is 2113, and the Sohma family has been affected by their Zodiac curse for centuries. No matter what they did, their family was plagued with the curse of turning into a member of the Chinese zodiac when hugged by a member of the opposite sex. For a while, they thought their family was the only one, but over time, they discovered other families were being affected as well. They knew they weren't alone, but why was this happening? What was causing this curse?
In an effort to solve the mystery of the Zodiac curse, one particular cursed individual worked hard to find the families affected, and eventually came across a particular family that had an unusual twist to their curse. With further studies, it was discovered that it was the area in which they resided in was causing these strange occurrences with the cursed family members.
What is this strange occurrence, you may ask? Once a week, on Saturday, from sunrise to sunset, the curse is lifted. There is no explanation as to why this happens, but after hearing about this phenomena, a lot of the families started flocking to this area, and formed somewhat of a village outside of the nearby city.
It's been 30 years, and the area the families live in is now referred amongst them as the Sanctum, a place of safety for those cursed. A place where they can be surrounded with others like themselves, but still be able to live a normal life. There is still some conflict between between the families, and even the members themselves, but the Sanctum is generally very peaceful. The head of houses mainly run the place, but most are more light hearted then the dreaded Akito.

| The sanctum has a small market that one may do some grocery shopping at. There are some restaurants and a pub as well.

| The Sanctum is located right outside of the city. The city had a quit dense population, and also contains all school that the sanctum children attend.

| In the center of Crystal City is a beautiful park, containing a large lake, a zoo, and many pother attractions

| Just outside of the city, there is a beautiful, lush forest. Hiking paths travel throughout the forest, making for a nice nature adventure.
